Why Dying to Self and Pursuing Holiness Still Matter in Today's World?

Over time, I've learned that a lot is demanded of those who are given much in the Kingdom.
"To whom much is given, much is required.” (Luke 12:48)
That means we are accountable for what we have been given.
I learned that I am spirit, soul and body. My spirit becomes one with Him when I receive Jesus and invite Him to come into my heart and give Him my life, but there is a soul and a mind that need to be renewed and given to Him. As Romans 12:1-2 says, we need to be renewed in our minds and not conform to this world. (paraphrased).
We cannot live between two waters as Christians, it is very dangerous.
"You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons, too; you cannot partake in the table of the Lord and the table of demons, too." (1 Cor. 10:21)
"A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways." ( James 1:8)
The spirit and the flesh are opposed, and there is an internal war in which we have no peace and tranquillity. The whole process is agonizing, painful, and challenging because, in the process, we lose everything. God loves us all. And He had provided what you need on the Cross. The Lord wants the self, the ego, and the flesh to die in us if He is to be truly glorified in our lives. There is a pull between our soul and our spirit when we do not give up and let God work. When we do not surrender all. It is very uncomfortable and painful the struggle is real.
God wants us to be truly free. He provided everything in Jesus.
When we don't surrender, we're not happy with God, but neither happy in the world.
The Bible tells us: "You will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free." (John 8:31)
To that truth that we know, we must add faith and obedience.
My dear reader, I am not publishing this blog to condemn anyone, but to encourage some of you who are probably where I was many years ago, that I was very stubborn, but the grace of the Lord is present in our lives. Still, every single day, we need to submit our flesh. You are precious to the Lord, but He made us holy (separated for him), and He wants you to be and stay Holy.
If you are dealing with an area where you know the Word of God and the Holy Spirit is convicting you and letting you know is not beneficial for you or is disobedience, let's pray and submit that area to the Lord sincerely, you will be free and blessed. The Lord wants the best for us, and He is working in our character to be more like Christ and less than us. He has called us to be Holy. Holiness and consagration still important in the Kingdom of God.
I bless you.
We can do this in Jesus' name.
His grace and love are sufficient. Renounce that, it is not worth it, it keeps you in guilt and shame. give it up, it will bless you and yours.
Let's pray:
Lord, I need you; I worship you. Forgive me for this area ….. that I know I am missing and disobeying you. I need your help, in ….. ( mention that area).
I surrender it, renounce it and break the tide with it in Jesus Christ's Name. You paid for me on the Cross, and I receive your cleansing and deliverance. Fill this area with your love and your presence. I take hold of your Word Father. Thank you, Lord.
